law lttilstnrtl In the fall of l962, we came into the high school department with approximately 175 students. 'As time passed we lost many, leaving a mark of ll9. As we journeyed through the years of hard work, we came upon many new and exciting adventures. We found over the years that we were no longer to be pampered by the teachers. It was either John Doe had his assignment on deadline or not at all, On a whole, for the majority of us, high school was an entirely new place. We be came frightened and somewhat unaware of what to do, but, we soon became stable and were no longer acting as though we were lost. We were well on our way to a happy year in school and for the future years an even happier ones expected. Time went by rapidly. Then came the time to elect contestants for Miss Home- coming, and May Queen. All our homerooms worked discouraged to fulfill our aim which was to win these titles. The winning of the May Queen title by Georgia Perry was another sign that we were sure winners. We left the ninth grade and headed for an adventurous year as Sophornores. By this time, we were completely adjusted to high school life and its activities, ready to accept things as they came, no matter how difficult they seemed to be.
