HOMECOMING CANDIDATES Senior MISS BEVERLY CARPENTER Senior MISS PAT FOSTER my The 1955 Homecoming festivities began on 'Thursday night. October 28, at Taylor Field with a rousing pep rally. Queen Beverly Bishop was presented to the school as the 1955 Homecoming Queen. Following the football game. Queen Beverly was crowned by Richard Hess in a beautiful ceremony preceding the Homecoming Dance. Beverly was chosen from three other senior candidates lane Lasersohn Patsy Foster and Beverly Carpenter Her attendants were Linda Skaggs Freshman Patsy Schwartz Sophomore and Patsy Hodson Iuruor Senior MISS IANE LASERSOHN 1 1 1 1 1 1 ' 1 1 1 'C P

This caused quite a stir with all the clubs and classes searching for garages to cover their floats. The parade was finally called off, but the Bulldogs braved the rain and mud to beat Woodriver. A fitting climax to the Homecoming festivities was the parade led through town by the H.T.H.S. band. The victory of the night before added gaiety and color to the parade of floats. The seniors won first place in the class floats with their clever victory ship made out of thirty-thousand paper napkins, Placing first among the club floats was the l-li-Tri's pink elephant.
