DRAMA The Junior Play' Out of the Frying Pan November 27, l94G Mrs, Lolo Eddy, director For the comedy of the year the luniors proudly presented the hilar- ious Out of the Frying Pan as their class play. Briefly, the plot is as follows: Three boys and three girls, all aspir- ing to become great Broadway stars, pool their resources, come to New York, and share the same apart- ment in order to save money. Their apartment is directly above that of the famous Broadway producer, Arthur Kenny, whom the six young hopefuls want to witness their art and help them get started. Compli- cations enter in the guise of Muriel Foster, one of the girl's snooty friends, who threatens to tell her father of these unusual living condi- tions. During this excitement, Mr. Kenny, thwarted in the midst of a culinary experiment, comes to their apartment to borrow some flour. De- termined not to let him escape until he has seen them perform, they hastily stage a murder scene in which Muriel is influenced to play all too realistically the corpse, Wild screams, all a part of Mostly Mur- der bring the police. After many mixups which keep the audience roaring, the situation is finally straightened out, and the actors are given their chance in Mr. Kennys road company production.
