'26, Class Play 'Ticlaet Committee, Cross Word Puzzle Bazaar Committee, Glee C ub, Debating Club, junior Civic Club, and Red Cross Club. Behold! one of the best natured girls of the class. Iz is our heroine since the night of the class play when the fire broke out in the Technical High School. We believe that lz's courage was backed up by the reporter's smile. Her classmates wish her the best of success as a preacher, but recommend that she practice what she preaches. ' 1 1 DOROTHY CRITCHFIELD Oh, tuckerf' C. A. O., O. T. j., junior Civic Club, junior Red Cross Club, Le Cercle Francais, Debating Club, Cross Word Puzzle Bazaar Committee. Dade has friends in every port , of both masculine and feminine gender. Her wit and keen sense of humor have earned her the title of being the wittiest member of the class. We are unable to give you her future address as fate in mascuf line attire may interfere with her conscientious intentions of enteliiing the Margaret Morrison school to study for secretarial wor . 11 BERTHA GLENDOLN DILL Six flops! Debating Club, Glee Club, Art Club, junior Civic Club, Red Cross Club. A great theater, a large audience, with Glen trilling beauti- ful notes to charm all who listen,-this is what her classmates predict in a few years from now. The best of luck to you, Dillie , in your musical career! 11 PAULINE ESTELLA DYER Oh, Ilm so sleepy! j. F. F., j. j. C., T. W. C. A., Cross Word Puzzle Bazaar Committee, Debating Club, junior Civic Club, Red Cross Club. Pinky's beautiful golden hair is her crowning glory . ln fact, it has caused several of the Midyear flappers to let their hair grow-for a few weeks. Pinky's favorite poem seems to be Burns's I love my jean. No reason, however, is given for her taste. Y 7 MARION EARLEY Vice President, Midyear Class, ll and Ill, Vice President' D. S. 265 Beta Phi '25, Secretary, junior Civic Club, Red Cross Club, Debating Club, Photograph Committee, Chairman of Class Ring Committee, Class Statistics. When you hear a cross word from Marion, just drop your books and marvel, as she was voted our sweetest girl and has surely lived up to her name. PGI ' PQ COMMENCEMENT ARGUS ELIZABETH BROWN Aw, ya, don't say l Vice p1esident,j, j. C. '26, Debating Club, Glee Club, junior Civic Club, T. W. C. A. Club. If the wishes of Brownie and her classmates come true, we have a future artist in our midst. Brownies artistic ability is not confined to paper alone, for she has painted a picture of a willing little worker on the memories of her classmates. 71 EDITH MAY BRUNNER Gee, but I'm dumb! Debating Club, Class Play Cast, assistant observations editor, Argus '24-'25, Honor Roll. Edith-the name itself means rich gift -is of that small, favored group that all of us respect and admire. She has a keen, clever mind and revels in solving the hardest problems and in thinking through the weightiest questions. There is really no need to mention her ability-she can excel in all things. Actress, debater, writer, and philosopher,-she is all of them. 11 HELEN W. BYERS Gimme some, pleeze! I. F. F. '25, 1.1. C., Debating Club, junior Civic Club. Snookie seems to be extremely fond of Wilbur buds. These, however, are not the only sweets of which she is fond, so we hear. But, aside from these little frivolities, Helen expects to follow in the footsteps of a noble woman, Florence Nightin- gale. Some of us are beginning to feel sick already, Snookie. 7 7 DOROTHY CALHOUN S. A. E., j. j. C., junior Civic Club, Glee Club, Debating Club, Class Play Ticket Committee. Did you mention parties? Dot's right there with her best bib and tucker on. They say that those who do not talk so much have more time to think. If this is true, our Dot is a deep thinker. Don't worry, Dot , it's a trait some of us envy! if FREDA CLAUSEN Freda is our guiding light-or rather, her head is, because cf its beautiful red hue. Freda is quite a popular young lady, especially with the opposite sex. Her classmates wish her the best of luck in her future career, or should we say, life work? TWENTY'THRl?.B

Meet the best dancer of the Midyear Class! Skinny is not only light on her feet but possesses a disposition to match. F., Secretary, C., Debating Club, Glee Club, junior Civic Club, Class Play Ticket Committee. Marion believes that the mail man should honestly earn every penny of his salary.
