CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL +9 H+ K CLASS PAGEANT CINDIAN SCENIED WOMEN, WOMEN, WOMEN! In originality, the class pageant was decidedly the most unusual pro- duction ever staged by any of the many classes graduated from the build- ing. Entirely in pantomine, with the exception of the two speakers who intro- duced each scene, Katherine Baker and Mary Esther Deihl, the play was an appreciation of some of the outstanding women of the world's history, Deborah, by Ann Silverg Zenobia, by Victoria Houckg Ioan of Arc, by Florence Badorfg Betsy Ross, by Dorothy Theurerg Florence Nightingale, by Faye Yost, and Harriet Beecher Stowe, by Alice Hart represent some of the different periods of history portrayed. The two speakers were the Spirit of lwotherhood and the Spirit of Home, and, clothed in long Grecian robes and carrying parchment scrolls, they appeared before each scene and announced it in poetry fitted to the scene. For the successful costuming, acting, and stage direction, Miss Swartz is entirely to be praised, for it was she who directed and planned it all. 'OH R+ l74l

The club sang upon several occasions, of which the Mid-year Com- mencement and the Assembly in Music Week were the most notable.
