We salute the Prince of Peace The Christmas Season at Catholic High School is a glorious time. It opens early in Advent with the placing of the Infant in the niche at the center of the main entrance, The singing of carols, Through the wreath the Boys' Choir sing carols at the Christmas assembly. tahleaux, comhined schools radio program, Open House, and assemhliessall emphasize Christ's hirth, The wason closes with the Crusader Christmas Ball, Decemher FU, Carrying lighted Candles the Boys' Chorus enter darkened Tracy Hall singing the story of the Saviork hirth.

in-Q 5- Varsit Football Coach Tony Cernugel led the Crusaders to another successful season with a 7f2fZ rating. ln the hrst three games the Crusaders beat Lower Paxton l3f6, tied Williaim Penn flffl, and defeated York Catholic 1948. The running of Piccolo and Dilfsposti and the field generalship of Gorman highlighted these games. The squad fell from the pedestal of undefeated in the Middle' town encounter over a last minute defeat 19f14. They bounced back, however, with a display of power to tie a strong Harris team 13f13 and to chalk up a 31f6 win over undefeated Reading Central Catholic. DiFsposti scored four touchdowns to pace the Cernugelmen. The following week at Hershey the Blue and Cvold lost U14 in an ankle-deep mudfcovered field. They rallied to defeat Delone 4141, Altoona 2044, and Mt. Carmel Z6f6. The final blow came when they bowed to Lancaster Catholic 13f7 to place the Diocesan Laurels on Lancaster's brow. Back Bob Piccolo, Tackle john Vokes, Guard Joe lvlartin, and End Ed Furjanic earned places on the Pennsylvania Catholic Con- ference All Star Team. George Weitzel, tackle, A1 DiEsposti and Larry Fuller, backs, made the Second Team, Frank Balister, Ray Napoli, and Ray Lescanec, ends, Bob Yohe, tackle, Adam Frye, guard, Frank Salinger and Fran Gorman, backsg and Paul Brown and Tony Bottini earned Honorable Mention. john Vokes made the AllfAmerican, AllfCatholic Team of the Nation. , .I ,-5 E fi tts 1 ...QQ-' P I I 25.
