Before his encounters, Arthur had an image of Our Lady emhlazcned on his shield called Pridwen. The towers themselves suggest strength of battlement and a place of refuge. Though separated by classrooms and oflices, the towers unite the building. In a different way, our school paper, 'Twin Towers, serves as a link uniting students, faculty, and alumni for the general good of all. HISTORIANS Sister Mary Bertha, R.S.M., Adviser These freshmen meet the first Wednesf day of each month to promote love and learning about the great Keystone State, Members seek to acquire first' hand information not only of promif nent men and women of the Common' wealth, but also of the flower, flag, seal, and bird of their native state. CATHOLIC ACTION CLUB Sister Ottilia, S.C.C., Adviser Striving to make of its members true Catholic militant, the Club aims to incite more active 'Catholicity among the students, Through projects as the reciting of the daily rosary, putting Christ in Christmas through Christian cards, selling religious articles, and spreading Catholic literature, they seek to promote the cause of Christ always and everywhere. MENDELIAN CLUB Sister Mary St. Edward, I.H.M. Adviser The Mendelians named after the re' nowned Augustinian scientist, Mendel, concentrate on biological sciences. Collecting and mounting rare specimens of plant life, studying various phases of animal life, and realizing man's need of both animal and plant life for sustenance, occupies the leisure moments of these sophof more students. MISSION CLUB Sister Edwin, S.C.C., Adviser The Mission Club reports a very suc- cessful year's activitiy. Besides the contributions given to the Society for the Propagation of the Fath, they topped many schools in collecting stamps. They also gathered numerous cartons of clothing, shoes, and medical supplies. These they send to mission' aries in foreign countries for distribu' tion among the needy.
