The Hoinemaking Class presented their Second Annual Fashion Parade, Novemher 21. At this time, they modeled a variety of attractive attires for school and afternoon. jumpers, hlouses, and Wes' kits, plaited, flared, and gored skirts, each presented a pretty picture on these Juniors and Seniors. These young ladies derive il deep satisfaction from being ahle to cut out and make their own clothes. WE PR CTI E DEMOCRACY STUDENT COUNCIL Sister Mary Francisca, I.I-I.lVI., Adviser During this year the Student Council extended its program to become a charter member of the Catholic Inter' scholastic Student Council of the Diocese of Harrisburg. joseph Giusti received the presidency of the newlyfformed Council, Qpening the year with a bonhre and pep rally on McDevitt Field, the Council sponsored numerous- dances, the Variety Show, the Magazine Drive, and assembly programs, They closed their efforts of the year with a Communion Breakfast for the Seniors. The Student Council Installation prompted the first visit of the Mayor of Harrisburg to the School. In addition to the oflicers, joseph Ciusti, presidentg joseph Tighe, vicefpresidcntg Jane Maloney, secretaryg and Gertrude Plaeey, treasurerg each homeroom has two representatives chosen by the students. Meetings are held weekly. In the presence of Father Shaull, Principal. and Mayor Claude Robins, joseph Giusti assumes role of Student Council President at Installation Ceremony in September.
