JUNIOR YEAR ln the tall of September l953 everyone returned wuth the exceptuon of Joy Wulson Joy moved to Davenport Creed Morgan formerly a Gonzaga student and Mark Hull haulang trom Faurbanks Alaska uouned our ranks Later on un the year Noy Lee enrollea enrolled from Eugene Oregon Thas totaled 5 gurls and 4 boys We were very sorry to s e Mark Leave us at the end of the semester We elected the tollowung ottacers Presudent Toots Harruson Vace Presadent Creed Morgan Secretary Kathryn Knapp Treasurer l-larraet Covert Socual Chaurman Kay Graham Sergeant at Arms Garry Kandred Advasor Mr Kumble One of the most excatung days of the school year lfor usl was the day we anatuated the Freshmen We were honored when Kathryn Knapp was chosen to attend Gurl s State and was lected Ambassador at Large Creed Morgan attended Boys State As we were constantly tryung to thank of ways and means ot earnung money we hut upon the adea ot a bake sale lt was a great udea too we made S37 OO Whoever reard ot chargung Sl 50 tor a pue'P We also sold pop at all the home basketball games On Aprul 24th we uouned wuth the Senuors un guvung the play Junuor Prom lt was a howlung success We gave our Junuor Prom Moonlught and Roses on May 22nd Kaye Baggars Dance Band provudecl the musuc for dancung Sharon Barge and Stevae Wulluams were our tlower gurl and boy Barbara Moore and Paul Turner served punch So to clumax our excutang Junuor year we loaned wuth the rest ot the l-lugh School and went on an all l-lu pucnuc to Luberty Lake SENIOR YEAR The class ot 54 came back to H l-l S wuth vam and vutaluty and an eagerness to make thear last year of school the most memorable year Elected to head the class for the school year were Presudent Harruet Covert Vuce Presadent Garry Kundred Treasurer Leota Borgans Secretary Kay Graham Socaal Chaurman Kathryn Knapp Board ot Control Creed Morgan Sergeant at Arms Ray Coleman Advusor Mr Downung At the begunnang ot the year Ray Coleman and Shurley Barge loaned our class but Shurley had to leave us at the end ot the turst semester One of the haghlaghts of our Senaor year was when we gave the play Don t Darken y Door Our sneak was one ot the most memorable happenangs ot our hugh school care r The class motto us Not by years but by dusposutuon us wasdom acquured Our class colors are Navy and Gold Class flower Ameracan Beauty Rose Baccalaureate Nas held May 23rd and Commencement was held on the evenung of May 24th thus brungung to a close our hugh school days , . .. , ., . . u , - . , . e u . ., D 1 V . . , . .. , . . .. ,, . ,, - H . FRESHMAN YEAR On September 5, l95O, ten green trash timidly and undecidedly entered the Hallowed Halls ot Harrington High School. The Juniors were very sweet to us and didn't initiate us untul three weeks atter school had begun We had a lot of fun beung unutuated and ut made us more anxuous than ever to become Junuors We chose Coach Lomax as our class advusor and elected the tollowung ottuceus Presudent Kay Graham Secretary Leota Borgans Treasurer Harruet Covert Socual Chaurman Joy Wulson Board ol Control Garry Kundred Ann Whupple and Don Larson moved away and lelt u wuth 5 gurls and l boy llucky boy?
