The varsity and junior varsity wrestling squads pose with Coach Mock. On the mats, though, their smiles and passiveness turns to grim desire. Wrestling Starkey, Ronniwell 3est Unbeaten Matmen Lewis Starkey and George Bonniwell of the Harrington High School wrestling team, defeated top opponents at Georgetown in a meet held last week. The Georgetown grapplers are undefeated this winter, having beaten Wicomico, Millsboro, Del- mar and Milford. They have no weak spots in the twelve weight divisions. Last winter the Knights won all twelve bouts as only Bonniwell escaped being pinned. Coach Mike Mack’s boys made tremendous showing for a second-year team from a small school. Prospects are very good for next year with most of the team back. George Jerread, 138 pounds, is the chief loss. Bonniwell and Starkey may cap- ture the state titles that nar- F. Spring Sports: Baseball . . . Soft Coach Hawpe poses with his winning team. Bill Adams turns corner. Spring sports were better than ever this year. The Lions baseball team finished third in the Conference. The softball team did as well. The track team swept many first places throughout the state in different meets. Not only did they finish at the top of the Conference, but sophomore Bob Smith was named a Junior Olympic Cham- pion.
