NO PICTURE SUBMITTED: Judy Austin, President. Senior History Graduation, the goal of every senior at Whitney, is finally here. The past three years has meant hard work which will lead to a vocational achievement, a successful position in the business World. Eight years of elementary training plus one year at a district high school preceded entrance to Whitney as a sophomore. That year, We became familiar with teachers, upper classmen, and the routine of a regular day. To give us a sense of belonging there were many events planned. Some of them, the assemblies at Macomber, shop meetings, the junior-sophomore "Pants Party," Christmas Party, never-to-be-forgotten Whitney Day. Class elections brought our first year at Whitney to a close. Learning more about our chosen field was the accomplishment of the junior year. As we came in contact with new sophomores, we gave them the feeling of home. The end of the second semester brought employment for some. Others worked after school or during Christmas holidays. The candy sale, mothers' luncheon, Junior-Senior Day were the major activities of this year. The most exciting was receiving class rings. The senior year is the fullfillment of planning at Whitney. All the qualifi- cations and knowledge We have accumulated are now put to use in our posi- tions and stored up for the future. We recall many happy memories, the forums, employers' luncheon, trip to Washington, prom night, senior banquet, the music as We Walked down the aisle at honors assembly. The final curtain comes down on happy friendships with students and teachers -Graduation Day.
