Since girls are divided into the shops of their own choosing in the sophomore year, by the time they are seniors their working patterns are different. All shops except Office Practice cmd Cosmetology have week-about schedules, in which the girl works a week and goes to school a week alternately. Office Practice attend classes until noon, the rest of the day is spent in cm office on a co-operative training program. The girls in Cosmetology work on people from the outside giving permanents, hair cuts, facials, manicures. In the spring, this group takes the state board test to see if they qualify as beauty operators. ln March seniors ioin with the remainder of the student body to celebrate Whitney Day, the school's birthday. They partici- pate in shop meetings and Senior Forums twice a month. The classes sponsor roasts, skates, and parties. Over Easter vacation seniors take a trip to Washington, to visit the nation's capital. Just before commencement they hold the prom, a lasting memory for every girl. Then the big day arrives. Eyes sparkle as each girl walks on stage to receive her diploma, a thrilling moment in her memor- ies of school years. She has worked in harmony twelve years with other students and faculty members, now she is ready to prove her- self capable of bigger responsibilities.
