Below Right: Student Council members dress up for pajama day. The Student Council was one of the more ac- tive groups in the school. They sponsored two dances per semester and scheduled spirit weeks preceding each Homecoming game. They also had two service projects. During football season, Student Council raised money for the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation QOMLIRFJ, and in the spring they joined with the FTA to run a blood drive. Future Teachers of America Support Teachers The Future Teachers of America began their year by attending the State Convention at Bethany Nazarene Llniversity. The next activity that they attended was the spring State Conven- tion at Oklahoma State University. National Honor Society Promotes Community Service Harrah's National Honor Society Chapter has been working on several community service projects this year. Their first project was to collect money for a donation to the Kevin Hopcus Scholarship Fund. They did this by hav- ing each member donate one dollar of earned money. Their next project was to sponsor a Career Night in order to acquaint members and their guests with different career alternatives. But the NHS was not all work and no play, they also attended a play, Carousel, earlier in the year. All of these activities, and the induction of new members in spring, keep the NHS busy year-long. Indian Club The Indian Club has worked hard during the year. Thirteen freshmen attended a leadership conference in Oklahoma City to build leadership qualities and abilities which would enrich their entire lives. As a holiday project, the club gathered and prepared food baskets for needy families in the community. They also took several field trips to explore Oklahoma's history. They visited museums and explored the outdoors, seek- ing to find signs of their ancestors. The Indian Club officers are: Pres - D. King, Vice-Pres. J. Ramer, Sec. - T. Cain, Treas. -- M. Foshee. Langley, C. Thayer. Fourth Row: Mrs. Caldwell Explores Cultural Backgrounds Library Club Sponsors Computer Drive The Library Club was a support group for the media center. They held fund raisers during the year in order to purchase books and blank video cassettes for the library. They sponsored a Com- puterrific contest to gain a new computer for the school. The Library Club was a member of the Oklahoma Student Librarians Association QOSLAJ, and they at- tended a conference in the spring. The Library Club also spon- sored Library week in the spring.
