QVLLOI' 8WLLlfLL:fCLlfL 5 As Senlors of 1947 we are almost prepared to step out 1nto l1fe and seek our careers The past IS never qulte forgotten but now as the ture nears for us to set out for a dlfferent hfe those old school day memor1es return In 1944 a class of twelve Freshmen entered Harpster H1gh School Before many weeks had passed we were 1n1t1ated 1nto hlgh school thus becommg full fledged Freshmen Much to our dlSgUSt we had to endure the super1or attltude of the upper classmen M zss Jeanne M artm was our faculty advlsor We returned as Sophomores 1n the fall of 1945 Three former classmates were m1ss1ng James Morrzs Rath Buck and Betty Bently but a new mem ber Dorzs M orrzs was gamed Mrs H oushouer was our class advlsor Offl cers elected were Pres1dent Clzfford Frey V1ce Pres1dent Leo Dzllzon Secretary and Treasurer Gazl Waqgy Durlng our Sophomore year we selected our class rmgs whlch were to be dellvered IH the followmg fall For our Jumor year Mzss Mclntzre was chosen class advlsor Offlcers elected were Pres1dent Gzlbert Murphy V1ce Pres1dent Mary Jane Clark Secretary Nell Searles Treasurer Clzfford Frey As Jumors we part1c1pated ln several act1v1t1es We sold refreshments at ball games We presented a class play entltled Hollday House d1rected by Mzss Alice Mclntzre The proceeds of those act1v1t1es fmanced a Jumor Senlor Banquet held at the Evergreens 1n Upper Sandusky Our Senlor year at Harpster seemed more lmportant as lt symbollzed the completlon of a hlgh school educatlon and the openmg of a new experl ence We were a class of s1X Mary Jane Clark and Gzlbert Murphy left us and Claire Graham and Junzor Dzllzon Jomed us The followlng offlcers were elected Pres1dent Clatre Graham V109 Pres 1dcnt Leo Dzllzon Secretary Donna Szgler Treasurer Clzfford Frey Gur Semor year 1ncluded a xarlety of act1v1t1es Perhaps the most lmportant to us was the presentmg of our class play The Ghost Walks under the d1rect1on of Mzss Alzce Mclntzre The f1rst act1v1ty was sponsormg the hlgh school Halloween party and the 1n1t1at1on of the Freshmen Our sen1or 3Ct1V1t19S closed w1th the preparat1on for graduatlon JENNINGS FURNITURE JACOBS DEPT STORE UPPER SANDUSKY 8: KENTON NEVADA OHIO OHIO O l I I - v 9 1 , .
