Is it really a four-leaf clover — or is it a bright smile and a friendly greeting? Is it a silver charm to wear on a chain, or know- ing that someone knows and cares how you feel? Is it a rabbit ' s foot, or a lucky coin, or the little things — a smile, a laugh, a cheerful hello ? Is good luck really an empty talisman — a trinket of silver, a piece of brass — or is good luck a friend ?- What is good luck? — Good luck is a special feel- ing — good luck is Ro.

OUR LADY OF THE HALL Where printed leaves once danced with fall And flew on painted wing, She walked among the crystal trees And heard the ice chimes ring. She walked beside the glassy ponds White-framed in snowy lace And peered into a charcoal sky To glimpse the heaven-place. Another spring has come for her ; And scented breezes blow Where skies are ever Alice blue And seas are indigo.
