This cruisebook was made possible by MWR and yon. the crew of USS HARPERS FERRY (LSD 49). To all who took pictures for this wild amalgamation, and to those who posed for the camera, we offer our sincere thanks. Compiling photographs in an attempt to capture, conglomerate, and somehow convey six months at sea is a project we have thoroughly enjoyed. From Jebel Ali to Jambo. Eager Mace to Kula Beach, lounging at The Reef to snorkling the Great Barrier Reef- each one of us has accumulated a colorful array of memories, friendships and Kenyan wood carvings that will stay with us long after we leave this command. Whether it ' s your first deployment or your fifth, you can take pride in knowing that few people have experienced as much of the world as yourself, and with a ton of editing (and a little censoring!) we hope we have succeeded in creating a cruisebook that will gather more nostalgia than dust. And as our crew is gradually supplanted by a new set of faces, we wish you good luck in your future endeavors. Fair winds and following seas until we meet again.
