STUDENT COUNCIL The purpose of the Student Cbuncil is to han' dle the school letters and stripes on sweaters, awarding ana requirements for earning letters. We had a ticket syst m for misdaneaners at school, but never used it to any great extent The sergeant elected foam each class was to ha dle the tickets. when they received a ticket they were tried in the Student Cbuncil which is comp posed of one representative fiom each class, alonq with the class president. when three tickets were received they were taken before the inndr council which was composed of the student body officers. The Student Council officers-were, Sam Griqg-Pres- ident, and Frankie Kine-jecretary. P-HQOTO-CLUB The students sponsored a dance ana box social to raise money to make it possible to buy equip- ment for photography work as an activity for stu- dents interested. The main Reason for establishing the Photo- Club was to make a less expensive Year book. Many students have enjoyed this work throuchout the year. JUNIOR--SENIOR BANOUET The Junior-Senior Banquet was held in the school auditorium, April 22. The Junior class colors, lavender and white were used in decorating the walls and ceiling. 'The junior class flower, the sweetfea was used on the tables, and apple blossoms on the piano. Den Purvis acted as toastmaster.' There'were Several speeches and a musical number on the pro- gram. Those present besides the bpper clossmen were the faculty and board members accompanied by their wives and husbands. o I

Val Gene Dice was unable to cary his part due to illness so Dale Barnes took over. ' The play was directed by Miss Stevens and Mr.i Gould, who did a good job. STUDENT soot DANC: N The student body sponsored a Halloween dance on October 29, to raise money for photography equipment, so they could make their annual cheaper. 'The dance was held in the community hall, deco- rated in ualloween colors. The dance was enjoyed by a large crowd. There was a beauty contest among the high school girls. Glenna Murdock 'won with Luree Chastain as runner up. SKATING The students enjoyed several skating parties during the year, which took them to Ontario. Those not caring to skate all evening went to picture showes or games in Ontario.
