Our first dreaded thought was that of initiation which wasnlt half as bad as we had figured on.A we dressed like comic characters such as Popeye, Denny Dimwit, Olive Oil, etc,- During the year we lost two class members and gained twb.' Joe joined the anny and Harold had to quit to work on his father'l farm. The two gained were Evo ,Jean Crabtree and Lee Jennings.' Eva moved here from Payette, Idaho, and Lee was transferred from Franklin High School in Portland, After a year of hardship and struggle, we finally worked up to the next notch--that of a Sophmores. During the summer vacation we lost Stella Mae, Sacra- mento stayed out to work on the Uaramillo farm, however his brother Manuel took his place. Finally after two years of hard work fond some not so hard! we were no longer lower classmen but were mighty juniors. At the beginning of the year there were only six to answer roll. The class consisted of Cleone Zielke, Lorna Walters, Eva Jean Crabtree, Mary Bodewig, and Lillian Olund. The male members for should we say m mberj was none other than Sam Grigg. After about the first six weeks Mildred left us for a more advanced education--that of housekeeping for a former graduate of Harper High and also an ex-member of Uncle Sanfs anned forces, Most of the members of the junior class were in the Photo Club, and also held of- fices in the student body, were on the Radiator or Hornet Staff. The class now consists of Lorna Walters, Cleone .Zielke, Eva Jean Crabtree, Sam Grigg, John Purvis und Glenna Murdock. Marie Jackson also joined us in our Senior year.
