Almost all girls in school took part in the extensive intramural program of the Girls Athletic Association. Seniors were winners in volleyball and basketball, and juniors were winners in soccer and track. Badminton champions were JoDean Moore and Helen Russell. The decathlon Winner Phyllis Gaug. Officers for 1952-53 were Priscilla Sanders, president, Sandra Scarlett, secretary, and Barbara Warbinton, point system manager. Officers elected for 1953-54 are Phyl is Gaug, presidentg Pat Blubaughsecretaryg and Janis McDowell, point system manager. JODean Moore and Marilyn Hanby were winners of the top state GAA award.
