I Was A Real Terror When I was born my parents could tell I was goxng t be a real terror through hfe and I wa When I was vrowmg up I was into evervthlng and was every where When I started school xt sure gave my mother a rest but not for the teaehers' I could do rry work well but somehow the teacher would send me homc every afternoon l thought that I was very smart to be sent home every day and I went around wlth a blg bump on my shoulder One day the teacher told me to go wlth her and we Went for a walk We went down the hall up the stalrs and then we came to a urge room that had a btg name on the door I wasnt btg enough to make out the word but lt started with the letter votce on the other slde saxd Come We walked m and I saw a blg, man Sllllllf t hrs desk I was looking the room over 11d SCILILCIIIIE my teacher s hand very hard all tt the ame tlme I stood there lookmg wry nervous when the man spoke and sand Young lady why are you such a terror md why do you cause your teaeher so much t ouble all the t1naeP I dldnt know what ay so I jut kept chewing the gum had In my mouth whlle the man shook h1s head He talked wlth my teacher for a few lnnutes then we went back to our room The next day I went to school agam I x are my saddle shoes levxes a blouse and my hatr m plg tails wlth rlbbons m them I felt very blg thts day because I had some p esents to deliver For the teacher I had an apple and for the man I saw yesterday a package of bubble gum I had a feelmg f f 7 M M lllt I would b seemg hmm agam so I kept xt and sure enough by afternoon I was up ln hts offlce agam' Thxs txme I was alone' My teacher stayed outslde and wanted H dldnt say much but wrote a letter and told me to go home and take the letter wlth me I told htm how mce he was to wrtte letters to my parents and as I left I gave h1m some gum I dxdnt look back to see what he dxd with 1t but walked out put on my coat and went home Mom sand she wasnt surprlsed to see me come home but she was surprxsed when I gave her the letter the man had wrxtten I could tell by the expresslons on her face when she read lt that something was wrong When dad came home they told me that I would have to act better at school or we were gomg to move away They told me my work was very good and my rank was good too but mv actions were very bad I didnt want to move and I knew my par ents dxdnt want to elther As the weeks followed I went to school dressed up ln my best dresses shoes and my halr combed out neatly I dldnt seem to have to go up to see that man agaln and lt sure eemed funny to stay ln school all day long, I was gettlng older now and reallzed that I must act hke other boys md girls m school so my acttons were not mentxoned agam One nlght the teacher kept me after chool for a few ramutes and she sald Kaye vou are just a I1 tle glrl growmg up and I have seen actlons l1Ie yours be- fore Kaye Folsom 58 1 I X If ' W AIX., L. vin 2 N 4 . .'
