They have learned two part songs, both classic and semi-classic. We found in different try-out that a nuniber could do very good solo work. At some P.T.A. programs this group gladly gave several numbers. And also at Christmas they sang a nuniber of the niore unusual carols. Dressed in vesture and with lighted candles they sang in processional and recessional. They have been a credit to the school. At mid term the Junior boys joined the group. Some of these fellows have good voices and a few are attempting solo work and are doing quite well. Who knows but that some day Harmony Grove may boast at least radio singers equal to many of our favorites of today FOURTH GRADES Those who haven t missed a day except for illness are Jerry Dean Bryant Otis Garner Billy Joe Carolyn Bumpas Ann Gammill Carolyn Eason Dorothy Jean Hicks Daisy 1.,ou The following fifth grade students have not missed a day this year Thomas Walters Rosalyn Calloway Keith Self Barbara Garner ltiarilyn Smith Marilyn Hayes Betty Goza Rose Sharpe Jo Nettles Betty Albritton and John Tilley The following fifth grade students have not missed a day this year except for illness Bobby Stewart Irene Dunn Dorothy Clements Enelina Brian Darrell Foster Buddy Spruell Jerry Grace Bobby Foster Joe Wallace hey IV ary E Garner Louise Tuberville Lucell hey and Jim Turner Harmony Grove since Christmas has organized a coral reading class for the seventh eighth and ninth grades which is under the direction of Mrs Malock It seems that the whole school and its surroundings are proud of the excellent work that this class has been carrying on During the February P T A meeting the class recited a few of the readings which had been selected by the leader It is a desired hope that this class will carry out the good work and prosper through the years to come HOME ECONOMICS Martha Ree Rachel Lucille F rances Jane Gwendolyn Billie Fay Margie Belt Betty Sue Bertha Becky Imogene These girls have not been absent Gwendolyn lrnogene 44 ----..--------------------------B- --------..-------------------------Bf - ---,-,,-,,,.,,--,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, B ..--------------------------------B- Lois ----------------------------------- -B -----------------------------------B ----....,.--------------------..--- B- -' --- ....... ................ - -- B- ' ------------------------------ B+ --------------------------------B+ ----------------------------------B+ ----------------------------------B -------------------------- ----- B Fll-A'l'H GRA llli l'AllI'tl11'lAll 'Sl 'wvrne'st1'rtha-tollowlngg pupils llf1Vt' In fnvr.
