THE 1964 ENGINEER HARLOWTON HIGH SCHOOL HARLOWTON, MONTANA TO KNOWLEDGE ”1 will watch with special interest the progress of the 1964 graduates of Harlow- ton High School. It has been my pleasure to work with you people the past five years. What you do in the future years will reflect the accomplishments of the school program and this administration. The plan of the school has been to present you with the tools to cope with life. Don't fear the challenges of adult life; meet each situa- tion with zeal and faith in a God who will make you big enough for any task. Until we meet again, may God's richest blessing be with each of you. Superintendent: THOMAS CORBETT 2 MR. D. T. The six men from White Sulpher Springs did a real fine job on their vocal selections, receiving third place. They say dynamite comes in small packages. Elsie is to be commended on her solo. 30 Sharon Litchenbarger filled the room with sweet music when she sang her solo. These four boys representing the younger talent did real good on their impersonation of the BEATTLES. Readings were expertly done by Tom Mitchell with Ron Eller providing a little background entertainment. s E N I O R T A L E N T S H O w Diana and Roger did a splendid job on their vocal duet for the talent show. On to State Champs were the hallowed words on the lips of every Pep Club member after taking second at Division. No truer words were spoken! The Team came through! Perhaps it was the energetic spirit of the Pep Club in their maroon and gold that helped the team in coping the Class B State Championship. The Pep Club organized its own football team in the fall to play an upset game over the Lettermen's Club. Or was it the other way around, boys? This game may prove to be an outstanding event of the school year. This year the pep club has expanded its membership into the realms of the man's world. Yes, it's true! The boys finally joined up. 41 The Lettermen's Club put in another busy year. They sold programs at the Class C tournament and competed in the Engineer-Femgineer football game. Too, they took their annual trip to Hunter's Hot Springs for a cool dip and a picnic. Under the leadership of Leon Lammers, the Key Club was very active in the school and community. A car wash and Easter Seal Drive were held, a flag was purchased for the new gym, played Santa Claus in local stores during Christmas and they sponsored interesting programs on Cancer and Traffic Safety. 42 HIGH SCHOOL BAND HIGH SCHOOL CHORUS 43 ANNUALSTAFF Editor-Sharon Alexander, Co-Ass't Editors-Linda Corbett, Jeanette Stewart, Advisor-Mrs. Audrey Keller. If you cry we know how you'll feel, What will you do without our sex appeal. Sharon Alexander with dark brown eyes Chasses all the National Guard guys. Love 'em and leave 'em—that's her cue, Watch out Dave or she'll leave you too. Connie Barnes is really neat She spills bedpans and rubs sore feet. Her and Ben Casey will make quite a team She'll leave them in stitches with her sewing machine. Joe Bridges, whom we call Beak Trains for athletics most of the week. On the field he is far from slow But when he's with a girl—Easy, Joe. Pat Birgenheir works in a garage. His amount of homework is not too large. Down the road he does cruise, When chased by Ray he throws out the booze. Bonnie Bennett our next young lass Is a new addition to our class. From Judith Gap she came to stay And hashes at Wade's every day. Lee Burrington, the pride of the guard Had an awful time getting an I.D. card. He went into a bar to get a few nips And came out with some potato chips. Russell Clements, the kid from Shawmut On Saturday night is more like a Comet. Girls he fears and tries to shun, But this doesn't stop him from having fun. Richard Egebakken likes his women loose And like all Wegians loves his snoose. He thinks all Roundup women are swell And told the Harlo girls to go to--(Well, we like you anyway, Richi) Kenneth Elliot's poor eyes got sore When he ran into a big blond door. When fists are flying he's at the wrong end And dark sunglasses are his best friend. Calvin Fochs, whom we all adore Is often seen with Sue Amdor. After school Cal runs laps And on Sunday morning his eyes look like road maps. Diana Goodman's as quiet as a mouse You'd never know she was in the house. Her future looks both bright and gay And we wish her luck through every day. Our class president is Loren Haarr From a good example he is not too far. But if everyone followed in his shoes The poor ole bars would be out of booze. Roy Halberg of the Two Dot bunch Can really throw a punch. He plays athletics Two Dot style And for a beer he'll run a mile. Jackie Holmes with light blond hair With Dave really made quite a pair. Leon was better and lasted longer. How long will Don last, we wonder? Dianne Hunter from up on the hill Broke loose this year the boys to thrill. She went steady four years of school And made the boys just sit and drool. Gary Indreland sometimes called Swede Is often seen parked in the weeds. He has bright blue eyes and flaming red hair And with Jackie Hutchison makes quite a pair. Roger Johnson, the class Romeo With almost anyone would like to go. Now an underclassman is his first choice As he charms them all with his sexy voice. John Jones came home from a party one night And was found in his living room in an awful sight His papa thought he must have the flu But with all those refreshments, you'd barf, too! Our weekend warrior, Leon Lammers On Thursday morning doesn't talk, he stammers. His eyes consist of bright red tissue. Is that bottle standard issue ? 89 Sharon Lenington has made her career Of breaking at least ten hearts a year. Dave Sorenson with eyes of glass Is the biggest man in the Senior Class He gains many friends with those bad blue eyes. But you've gotta be friends with a guy that size. Jack Thomson who thinks his car flies Saw different one night through bloodshot eyes. The Class B tournaments were his folly. On Saturday morning he wasn't too jolly. Is that right, Jack?
