DEDICATION SUPERINTENDENTS ADDRESS It is with reluctance that I say good-bye to the students of the Harlowton High School. The past eight years I have served as Superintendent and Principal of the Harlowton High School. They have been rewarding and enjoyable years. Not often is one given the opportunity to work with such an outstanding group of young men and women. I shall miss each and every one of you; you have have been most considerate. In later years when by chance we should meet along the way, I shall consider it a real pleasure if you would pause a moment and tell me about yourself. It has been a privilege to know all of you. God speed you. Mr. Ted Weimer came to Harlowton High School as a young man, a teacher of Science and Coach. He has taught science in this school for twenty-three years. The subjects he has taught have not been popular, but Mr. Weimer has always been a fa- vorite with the students. We, the Annual Staff of 1959, dedicate this yearbook to Mr. Weimer, our Science teacher, former Coach, and friend. FACULTY MR. CLASS POEM We, the class of '59 Leave this school feeling fine. We gather here to say Farewell To a school we think is really swell. Georgia Harris our tall slender lass To Mr. Haroldson was quite a sass Our famous model she will be Just you wait and see. Burton Bartz, who rides the bus Over Georgia makes a fuss. He is the youngest of our class But managed to land quite a lass. Our next boy is nicknamed Hutch He's the guy that's always in dutch. In making the grade, Joe took quite awhile Because skipping school was more his style. Jerry Bjork, who is known as Black In many plays he did act. He learns his techniques in the dark Because he lives in the city park. Down the road going faster than sin Is our Gorden Jones causing quite a din. To all the girls he's quite a pest Never giving them a moment of rest. Wally, has always plotted and schemed In order that he might stay on the team. Burrington, who lives on the flat Goes with a freckled girl named Pat. Now comes our little Shirley Whose hair is natural curly. Knoff is our biggest class clown On her face is never a frown. With the Musselshell Valley Boys, Ed does play But still he has time to feed his horses hay. He loves to dance and swing the girls And on the Senior Trip he gave Pat quite a whirl. The next in line is Allen Leppink He lives on a ranch where they raise mink. In his little Chevy he does drive Making sure he stays alive. Her first name is Barbara, her last name DeBates She is the girl with all the good traits. In English Class, she is quiet as a mouse But when she is out, her voice will fill a house. Sylvia is our sly little lass Makes her friends with only one pass. At the hospital she works as a nurse. But all her patients come out in the hearse. Our next gal in line is wearing a ring By ear, she makes the piano sing. Terry thinks she is pretty nice stuff And of course, you know, she is Barbara DeBuff. Jerry Morang is our next little boy Being in trouble is his greatest joy. A nice little Chevy he tries to steer Though he has some trouble with his can of beer. And now we come to that boy with the brain Next we have another bride to be His knowledge of all subjects will lead him to fame. She's slated to be married in Nov., you see. In all kinds of sports he really did play Marge Murphy is her name His name is Alan Dettmann and he's really OK. Jack Pederson is her swain. Gloria is our Twodot chick She and a guy named Joe really click. Drogitis honestly has quit smoking But when she says that, she's really just joking. Alverta is our toe headed gal She used to go for a guy named Hal. Now she's all for a guy named Don Because she thinks he's real gone. Her first name is Mary, her last name is Fochs Her pride and joy are her golden locks. She sleeps through study hall every day Just to pass her time away. Walter Newbary, our class secretary With one little girl he does tarry. Sue is one of his greatest joys Only once in awhile, he has time for the boys. Patty Fuchs on the piano does play A nurse she hopes to be some day. At the hospital she does slave The money she earns she never saves. In the grocery store, Bruce Painter does play He hopes to be the owner some day. He stocks the shelves and scrubs the floors For all the young ladies he opens the doors. Tom Clark our dark haired boy Goes with Keitha, who gives him joy. In the halls they can be seen And Tom is always being mean. Harry is our farmer boy He lives in the city, but farming’s his joy. Though the Winnecook takes most of his time Peterson and Pat seem to get along fine. Now comes a girl called Willie To Mike she is really quite a filly Crowley paints and scrubs, you see For Mike her husband to see. Mr. Peterson, who is soon to be hitched Suffered from the Senior Trip Because this is his last year here We hope his memories of us are dear. Sharon Sondeno, our country gal To all the girls is quite a pal. She comes to school once in a while But skipping English Class is more her style. Marion Stevenson, our pride and joy Goes with Harry, a Garneil boy. She worries and frets about tests to be Then always comes up with an A or a B. Evelyn Pidcock, our Home Ec fan Is learning to cook for her future man. Down on the flat we hear a loud roar Soon Jim will be knocking at her front door. Patsy Pump, the brains of our class She's tall, she's pretty and OOO what a lass. When riding in her blue Galaxie bright She’s headed for Helena with all her might. Found her man and settled down But still she's entitled to wear the gown. Betty Franks Rasmussen is her name And housekeeping is her greatest fame. Don Rasmussen is our science fiend Frannie Hickman seems to be his queen. He is our President, the very best When school is out, he'll have a rest. Mirror, Mirror, on the wall Who is the smallest of us all By now you know it is Fawn Rieger It must be terrible to be so meager. Betty Riggs wears a diamond, too Every day she has a new hairdo. With the Dragonettes she is rated tops And when Jack comes around, she really hops. Jack Roma is our Shawmut boy To all the girls he gives great joy. Studying was always his pet peeve We’ll all hate to see our Romeo leave. Now comes our rodeo boy Twirling his ropes is his greatest joy. When it comes to being a real card We all know it is Norman Schuchard. In English Class, if you suddenly heard a yawn It was Patty, who didn't know what page we were on. Thomas, a gal who always hard Stays home, studies, or plays in the yard. Joe, who carries on his name For never being there, he has gathered fame. When there is work to be done, Thorson's always on hand. To us, he's acclaimed, the best in the land. Guy laughs and laughs without a cause And shakes and shakes like Santa Claus. Tolman caught a lot of football passes Too bad he was so dumb in his Chemistry classes. Anita Vezey, our quiet girl Gives that Chevy quite a whirl. Chasing boys is not her game To be a nurse is more her aim. In football, Gary did excel As a matter of fact he really did swell. The National Guard thinks he's real cool But we all know he's just a rat, you fool. Don Thomson, better known as Tik With Carolyn Jones is pretty thick. Without him life would be grim For all of the people who know him. For three long years Joyce has cheered our team First Name: Helen, last name: Wetzel Making them feel that they're really on the beam. She doesn't like it when we call her Pretzel Sedgwick has eyes for only one boy To her our class bills are always Hockin'. John is her one and only joy. Sometimes her nerves are really rockin'. . «if -; ♦ • i i • i y ' • nJ f ■ ' v 1 • • V - —_ T - - . - —• - • — -. • • . „ I - - —— %«
