Published by STUDENT COUNCIL of HARLOWTON HIGH SCHOOL Harlowton, Montana 1950-1951 SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE The years following your graduation from high school will find many of you in geographical locations far removed from Harlowton, many of you in societies different from those at home, many in occupations with which at this time you are un- familiar, many of you solving problems of a social or technical nature which we cannot forsee at this time. Our purpose during the time you have spent with us has been to help you to see those things which lie before you and to assist you in your preparation to successfully meet them. It is the hope of the faculty of Harlowton Schools that our aim has been true. JOHN F. MOORE Music General Math. CATHERINE PORTER American Problems Girls Phys. Ed. Then Hardin, the game of games; the Bulldogs, sporting a 27 game winning streak left the windy city with a humiliating 27-0 loss. Upon this day the new gridiron was dedicated to the McQuitty brothers and will be know as McQuitty Field. Our lone loss followed this glorious victory. A fumbling Harlo eleven tied Worden 6-6 but couldn't gain an inch in the California Playoff as the Red Devils walked off with an 8-6 victory and the Conference Championship The fired up Eng- ineers, with faint hopes of a Red Devil loss later on, came from behind to lick the Billings Central Rams 26-13 before a rain-drenched crowd in Daylis Stadium. Red Lodge and Roundup were the next victims by respective scores of 65-6 and 59-0. With the coveted Championship out of sight, seven men wore the maroon and gold for the last time in chugging to a hard fought 24-14 victory over Columbus. Six Engineers were accorded All-Conference honors. Named to the first team were. Ed Muneta-Quarterback, Dennis Ortwein-Fullback, Dick Stoltz - End, Jim Duncan-Tackle, Bill Smith Center. Tom Cavanaugh was selected second string fullback. The mothers under the Co-Chairmanship of Mrs. Robertson and Mrs. Duncan honored the boys and their dads at the annual Father-Son Banquet to officially end football. At this time Coach Williams paid great tribute to the boys by saying, This is the b.est football team I have ever coached. ” Compliments of DICKMAN'S COAL and FEEDS BASKETBALL A” TEAM BASKETBALL “B” TEAM Sponsored by THE TOGGERY, L.
