ALEX VINSON Alex was light, but made up in speed and drive what he lacked in weight. He was one of the most accurate tack- lers on the team. He was noted for his de- fensive playing. He still 'has another year of great playing. CECIL SIMMONS Cecil was an outstand- ing cente r and a real fighter on defens e. He never faltered when the going got rough. He was fast to get a r ound end from his halfback spot at all tixnes. Baldo will be b a c k next year to strengthen the Cardi- nal backfield. .T OE AR RIAGA .Toe was small, but made up for it in determ- ination. He was a great defensive end. I-Ie was dreaded by most oppos- ing backs. This was his last year of eligibility. vmr I HAYS GRAY A little dynamo and a regular spark plug would describe Hays. His fight- ing s p i r i t carried him through the year despite midseason injuries.Hays is noted for his outstand- ing defensive p l ay. He will be a valuable m an to the team next year.
