His cool, quick thinking made him a good quarterback on the team. Tony will be mis s e d nextyear. BUFORD SLAY The large holes Buford opened around his tackle position helped account for our consistent ground attack. This was Buford's last year. - 1-Q BUDDY BEAKLEY Buddy was a small but an ag- gressive end. His hard low -char- ging made him a valuable man throughout the season, The team will miss him next year. , ., ,,-.,,,,, I , .. ,. .ff:f:3fr,f- ROY BELLER A fast, quick thinking guard was Roy. He hada lot of fight and was a hard hitting linesman. Roy help- ed a great deal on offense by run- ning interference for many of the Cardinal players. This was his last year. HERBIE HAHN Herbie was a package of dyna- mite when he hit the line of the opposition. If there wasn't a hole, he could always be depended on to make one. An opposing play- er rarely got by him on defense. This was his last year. ,,.

DAVID .TOE WEAVER This big junior end was always down the field on punts and was alsoa consistant tackler. He was g ood at snatching pa s s e s any- where on the field. He has one more year. i LEE RICHARDS Lee w a s an outstanding guard in the fighting Cardinal line. A late season injury k e pt him out of the last few games. Lee was a determined defensive man. He has one more year of eligibility. JIM ED CARNES Jirn Ed was noted for his fine passing and his lon g punts. He c ould always be depended on to keep the team together when the going was rough. He turned in somespectacular performances on de - fense. Frank's natural a b i l i t y will strengthen the te am for two more years. I l1x.A.- .fJn 'llT'IlXll2li Q- ,- on-' DICKY HENDERSON Dicky was ahard- driving fullback who could always be depend- ed on to bull his way for that extra yard. His long quick kicks were always a surprise to the oppo- nents. This was Dicky's last year. BILL MACY Gorilla played a rough, but cle an game. The opponents a l w ay s knew when they were hit by Bill. B ill will be at his b e s t next year with the Cardinal team. QLLSTIGJ -30 GJOGLJ cvgerv- 0 BERNIE EDWARDS Bernie was a rough, hard fighting guard. He was handicapped by a hand injury in the early part of the season and was out most of the year. When he came back, he came back fighting. He won 't b e back next year. I0 I OHNNY HOLLINGSWORTH This hard fighting little guard made up in quick thinking and de- termination what he lacked in size. Johnny will be one of the main- stays on the fighting Cardinal line next year. ,.l 1 BILL WEAVER Bill was a big,hard charging linesman. His versatility strengthened the g uar d and tackle positions on the fighting line. Opposing coaches will see more than enough of Bill during the next three years. f it 'T I....A .
