Diary of Anne Frank 1942. “Jews must wear a yellow star, Jews are forbidden to drive, Jews must be indoors by eight o’clock, Jews are forbidden to visit theaters, cinemas, and other places of entertainment, Jews may not take part in public sports, Jews may not visit Christians....” At the age of thirteen, Anne Frank, along with her family, was forced into hiding to avoid senseless persecution at the hands of the Nazis. For two long years, they lived in silence, without sunlight or fresh air, exist- ing on their wit, courage and little else. Under the competent direction of junior Lou Ann McKinney, the cast and crew of ANNE FRANK presented a true bicentennial portrait of courage.
