Charles Russell- backstroke Randolph Wilmington- butterfly For the first time in five years, Harlan has had a boys' swim team. Though small in number, the team has a lot of heart. Like any new program, the swim team will need time to organize and get students involved. With six young men retuming next year, and with the hope of more young men becoming involved with the team, the swim team anticipates fitting right into the great athletic program that Harlan offers its students. The Harlan Modem Dance class was reactivated in September, 1986, after ten years. The major objective of the class includes the leaming of the aesthetic value of the dance as it relates to rhythma- tic movement with musical accom- paniment. Because of inexperi- ence, programs have been limited this year, however, the modem dance has performed at a Black History assembly and is preparing for a combined dance and syn- chronized swim concert later in the school year.
