STUDE T COUNCIL Ms. M. Tatman Kathy Slaughter Derwin Brown Pamela Sherman Woodley Johnson V Ernestina Aguayo Sponsor Secretary Parliamentarian President Vice-President Treasurer The main function of the student council is to provide learning experiences for the students. A second function, closely related to the first, is to provide within the school a climate conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and moral development of every member of the student body. The general objectives of the student 'council are as follows: 1. To develop good citizenship, attitudes, and practices 2. To promote good relationships among the students, between students and faculty, and between the school and the community 3. To develop and maintain good school spirit 4. To assist in directing and managing student life activities 5. To provide a training ground for the development of leadership 6. To promote scholarship 7. To uphold school traditions 8. To help each student to find a place in the school 9. To develop high ideals of personal conduct 10. To promote the general welfare of the school
