O. S., Secretary, Varsity Club, Cheer Leader. Ladies and Gentlemen, you now behold none other than uChip, the smiling lad from the Capital, a fellow who has been with' us for the past four years and who has helped to keep the morale up in the cadet corps of this school. NChip expects to study medicine when he leaves us and we are sure that he will make -2. success of this vocation. As you leave us, Chlpf' we wish you the best of luck. s STEWART COOK CCChref7, RICHMOND, VIRGINIA Private, Company HB , Member: Jefferson- ian Literary Society, Tidewater Club, Basket- ball Squad. This noble lad came to us in the fall of 328 and was enthusiastic to become a Key- det. He did not sleep for several nights, won- dering when his uniform would get here, so he could strut it to town with the rest of the boys. 'LChef,' is very popular among the students and faculty, and in the class room he takes the lead in all of his work. He also belongs to our famous debating team., We are sorry that this is a'Chef's only year with us, but still we feel sure that- he will make a great success in whatever he under- takes, and the sooner he starts the better it will be. Be of good cheer, my friend, the world has great things in store for you. fi,y------ .H , - ..,.. .. .....,, .,,,., ,,,, , ,, Q , I ,qY,,,,,., ,Luv - '47 W ' ' j-4-R :1--. .14-,LT,,T,,AQ,Agmwyl M f W - ,.,s...l4....,.sf.r.ir..i f- ff 'V - Eff 'iff 'I I ' -.1-.v..Ju,,z.w4.s:ruLeau..2m Q, 55,1-H 'fs 'l ' MRM r 'r' -f--- - - , ,L ,M V - -. BLACK zcsmokyaa PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA Private, Company MBT Member Cosmopoli- tan Clubg Member ,Ieffersonian Literary So- ciety. '4Smoky is one of our Dutchmen with the exception that he is a very quiet fellow. He came to Hargrave in the Spring of '27 and has been here since, he seems to care a lot for dear ol' Hargrave, for he remained over the past Summer and finished a lot of work. L4Smoky,' has made quite a lot of friends since he came to Hargrave and he is liked by all of us. He doesn't like the athletic field so much, but he is a smart guy in class. He leaves us with the intention of becoming a great business-man, and if he continues with the same spirit he has shown here at Har- grave, we are sure that he will reach his goal. JASON THOMAS COLLIE CCReLi79 RINCCOLD, VIRGINIA Private, Company MBU, Private, Company HA , Sergeant, Company MAH, Member: Jef- fersonian Literary Society, S. O. S. Club, Var- sity Club, Varsity Football, Baseball, Track, and Basketball, Vice-President Jeffersonian Literary Society, Secretary Athletic Council. '6Red', is another of the Pittsylvania boys who was out looking for his famed long-eared mule one day in the Fall of '25, when, by chance, he ran upon Hargrave and took a likin, to the place to such an extent that he has been with us since. We never did find out just where the mule was found, but uRed,' hasnit bothered about it in the least, so we think that perhaps the old plug was heart- broken and passed away to unknown lands. HPted', is a very likable fellow among the cadets and the Faculty, and he has also shown up well on the athletic field. As you leave us, uRed,,' we extend our best wishes for your success in this big world.

CLANTON 'CC-Billv sUFFoLK, VIRGINIA ' '4Bill,' is the cadet who publishes the inter- esting editorials in the school paper, The Mus- keteer, and which you have all, no doubt, en- Joyeu. '4Bill', is a fast worker and gets things. He has a mind which will develop into a great editing machine some day, one which will do most everything but print the matter. Bill,, isn't so fond of athletics, but he does his part on the bleachers, helping the team as much as he can. He isn't a genius in classes, but he is sure of his work. We all think a lot of uBill and regret see- ing him leave us, but We know that We will hear from him in a great way some time. Co to it, uBill,,' We are expecting great things from you. - ELLIOTT DREBERT CASSADAY Rheumy ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA Private, Company UA , Sergeant Buglerg Member, ,leffersonian Literary Society, Mem- ber. Cosmopolitan Club. 4'Rheumy came to us in the fall of '25 as a timid, modest little 'gRat from the cold North. He has been with us four years and with his bugle seems to be an indispensable part of Hargrave. He has never tried his luck at usheikingv around Chatham, but from the looks of his picture gallery he is a great success. March on, Elliott. Here's Wishing you the very best of success in whatever you under- take. We expect great things of you, old pal.
