the growth of the junior college was paralleled this year by the growth of the annual. the '65 owl contained seventy -two pages, half again the number contained in owl '64. size was not the only change, however. for the first time, pictures were included amongthe adver- tisements. in addition, a conscious effort was made to break away from the narrowly circumscribed image of the typical annual. pictures were arranged informally. staff members attempted to make even those tradition- al leftovers, the white spaces, appear as meaningful, integral parts of the pages. to carry through the new look, lower case letters were used exclusively. these improvements were among many which characterized the new look in the student annual for 1965. and this is only one page. charles wheeler, business manager; nancy parks, editor. your deal. now, more meaningful white space.
