BUYS Nw WASH BMHU This season was a tremendously successful one for our team We played all of our games away from home and practiced in our small, inadequate gym Even at this great disadvantage, the expert coaching of Mr Canavan and the spirit of the players clicked, make a successful season The inside shooting and rebounding of John Delargy and Ken Boissy proved to be big assets to the team The playmaking of Captain Jack Krol and the outside shooting of Richie Nurek were also big factors in our nine victories W finished in second place in the Southern Division of the King Philip Le gue We won over Powers Institute easily in our first game of the Tri State Tournament in Turners Falls In our second Tournament game with Sanderson Academy, the game ended in a tie thanks to Richie Nure4's soft hook shot that hit the cords just as the game ended Although we lost in the overtime period 48 45 the boys fought hard to win Indeed, they have given the Junior Varsity and the eighth grade something to aim for,1n the coming season May the future teams of Hardwick High have better success than we had this year Win that King Philip League Championship next year for Hardwick High' Compliments of nkoE NORLAU Ware, Mass.
