and as well also Harry's place where they had that good band and that Negro singer As for the girls they were too busy looking around at the boys, I think to see much of the sceneryzat night but I think they liked the little negro boys the best I mean the ones who used todance for the girls when they gave them pennies Perhaps, Mr Canavan will always remember the ni ht he found some strange boys, who got lost, in bed with Harold Dennis nDennyn himselfnms the one that got the biggest surprise though when he woke up and found that big fat boy sleeping next to him But Mr Canavan brought everything under control nicely thank you, Mr Canavan All in all our stay at the Annapolis Hotel was a pleasant one I don't know whether or not the man agement felt the same way We had only one complaint about the hotel and that was the powdered eggs that appeared every mornin Next, I think a good suggestion to the management would be to pu stronger beds into the rooms John Delargy intends to send that course! by accident and he had to sleep on the floor that night That's about all we can relate about Washington without letting out any secret information I am afraid we would have Senator Wheeler's Crime Investigating Com ittee censoring this report if we did Friday morning we left for New York, the first dav of rain we had during the entire trip During this train ride most of the girls slept, all except a few who found some boys from Auburn whose talk was sufficiently interesting to keep the girls' e es open all the way from Washington to New York I won't mention any names but one of the girls was Betty Hanson As for the boys they continued with their usual pastime of playing cards However a couple of boys were missing most of the trip It seems they could be found in the Mendon Car with a ublonde bombshelln whom we called Marylyn Monroe On arriving in New York we went di rectly to our hotel It was a palace compared with the Annapolis Hotel in Washington After unpacking and dining, we went to Radio City Nusic Hall, where we saw HRbse Marie',at NSC we saw Eddie Fisher in person For the rest of the evening we strolled about Times Square, and then back to the hotel but not to bed although I don't think we got to sleep until the Nween hours of the morning Saturday morning we went shopping on Broadway where the boys all bought tall black hats George Janeczek looked as if he had just come from an undertakers' convention Fbur that afternoon we left for Springfield and home I know that everyone enjoyed the trip Ve would be readv any time to go again The Seniors all agree that the chaperones were wonderful for going with us and we would all like to say NThank Youn to Mrs Day and Mr Canavan 1 LJ . 1 .J 3 . fn .
