Adminisirafive Team Shares Assign menis Supervising discipline, evaluating teachers, preparing daily bulletins and offering aid and assistance where necessary were only a part of the mass responsibilities of the administration during 1971-72. Harding was led by Principal Robin Gaston, his second year as head man. Ollie Cooper and Joe Medlock were the well-qualified vice principals. The administration, working on the objec- tives of a better school environment, gained help from teachers and students in implemen- ting the Green Dream. Above: Gllie Cooper, Robin Gaston and Ioe Medlock brought new concepts to Harding. Left: Mr, Gaston's days were busy as meet- ings and conferences took up much time. Q 3 9 1 Personnel Give Order To Heelic Operafion Absentees, do not admits, paper clips, in- session meeting tonight - all were familiar aspects to secretaries and teachers alike. Frances Pine, principa1's secretary, and Bernice Rogers, office secretary, were aided by many and gave aid to hundreds as the busy days got busier. Teachers new to Harding knew they could count on the secretaries' skill and know-how as many confronted students for the first time. Office aides and substitutes frequented the main office as a hectic but unconfused atmosphere grew into a deep silence at five p,m. Right: Frances Pine schedules daily events. Below: Delores Bogan and Bernice Rogers keep tabs on all students. nada? r My N. In the elassromni and out, Harding teachers showed their true respect to their profession and their students. Coach Sledge and David DeVille give advice on the field. Participation - the key word - meant joining with other clubs in making Harding a better school. Many worked on the Green Dream, while others devoted time and effort to numerous worthwhile projects. Some taught responsibility, some offered knowledge concerning various professions by participating in contests, and some perpe- tuated traditional events such as Christmas and Thanksgiving baskets. But all were leading, following, force- ful, keeping pace - a ding responsibility to maturity.
