The team finished the season with a 3 win, 4 loss record in Conference play, and one non-conference loss. One ofthe outstanding players this year was Mike Shanley, who was elected to the All-City second team. The boys also welcomed a new assistant coach, Mr. Peter Vuiovich, who came to us from Windom, Minne- sota. A good nucleus of boys will be returning to form the football team for next year. A CHOIR works for high attainment in choral balance, blending, intonation, for the best quality tone production, and for good musicianship in singing both sacred and secular music. The Choir is called upon to perform whenever at group of this size can be accommodated. They perform at the an- nual Clfristmas Program at school. The MADRIGAL SINGERS number about 20 and are largely iuniors and seniors. With the exception of the Christmas Carols sung during the month of December, the students sing mainly madrigals and folk songs. They are requested a great deal to perform at programs throughout the city. They appear with the A Choir at public performances. The TWILIGHTERS were organized in May. This quartet has sung in the Minneapolis Park Board Search for Talent Contest, with Ernie Zimmerman's Band at Como and Phalen Park, at various school functions, the All-City Talent Show, and the M.D.V.C. Banquet. Harley Miller sings tenor, Allen Peterson, lead, Dick Toensing, baritone, and Harry Oen, bass. GIRLS' CHORUS is intended primarily for sophomore girls, but iunior and senior girls are welcome too. Singing in three- part is the main activity. The chorus takes part in the Christ- mas assemblies and evening programs. Other activities in- clude Iistening to a variety of records, viewing music films, and attending the Young People's Opera. . . . CHOIR A ROW l.
