This Commencement is indeed the beginning of a distinctly different phase of your life with new undertakings and perhaps a somewhat changed outlook upon your future. Whether you go to college, to business school, to other vocational and technical training, or to im- mediate positions in the work of the world, we of the Administration and Teaching Staff shall be proud of your achievements and shall be saddened by any losses or reverses you may suffer. We hope and believe that most of you have strengthened your spirit of service and your interest in the welfare of others while here at Harding. Also, by participation in the activi- ties and program of Harding High School, you must surely have acquired a better under- standing and appreciation of the democratic and American Way of Life.
