Hovvever, cooking is not all that is learned in this class. Neatness, industry, and budgeting ot both time and money are other points vvh ch the tuture homemaker learns, LIBRARY Through the ettorts ot a very etticient statt, an air ot study and quiet pervades our library, This statt, under the supervision ot lvlr. Deyo, is made up ot students trom every grade who are eager to learn and be ot help at the same time Among their tasks are included the alphabetiz-Y ing ot books, repairing ot worn volumes, and as- sisting the large number ot students who come to the library each period tor research work. ART Numerous and varied are the lines ot beauty that are studied in the art room. Classes in all types ot drawing, painting, and sketching are supervised by lvliss Ema Schulz. ln addition to class Work, this room turns out the posters and announcements tor the many extracurricular activities ot the school, Their creations may be seen interestingly adorning the walls ot room lOl. BIOLOGY ln the biology classes ot Mr, Robert Johnson, vve turn to a study ot living matter. Under the microscope the delicate organisms ot animal and plant lite are studied Future Burbanks or Deliruits ot these classes are auite otten seen bringing plants, buds, and insects in tor observation or experiment, Indeed, we've heard rumors ot preserved trogs and in- sects that are kept tor class work. PHYSICS A veritable Believe-lt-Or-Not shop is the physics room, 204, Topics varying from the im- mensity ot the universe to the properties ot the tiny atom are studied and discussed. ln addition, the every-day problems in relation to sound, heat, electricity, and all torms ot na- tural phenomena are taken up, The guide in all discussions is Mr. Theodore Johnson. TIN SHOP Girls as well as boys labor daily on the great variety ot articles that can be produced in the tin shop. These articles, both decorative and usetul, make many ot the students' homes more complete by their presence. lxlovv and then above the hammering and pounding may be heard Mr. Milton Zvvoster's sharp Heads up! as he gives his characteristic call tor attention. TYPING The click and clatter coming from room 308 is just the noise which arises when torty energetic pupils start att on a speed test or an exercise which must be handed in today. Miss Edith Sullwood, Miss Blanche Heagy, Miss Celestine Renz, and Mr, William Gavin have all cooperated in systematizing the tacilities ot this room tor etticient use CAFETERIA ln spite ot crowded auarters this year, there has been provided time tor three grand get-to- gethers at students-the lunch shitts. From the manner in which the students congregate in tront ot the doors one can easily see that this period is enjoyed by all.
