Yearis Extra Activities Give Us Welcoming Break From Classroom The extra activities available to Harding students help to make the school a more interesting place to be. Within the school are the many clubs and organizations that give greater involvement in school functions. These clubs provide the extra bit of interest needed to be conducive to an educational atmosphere. Besides the clubs that focus on inter-club activi- ties, there are the groups like the Re- porter or Props and Que's that help to add some enjoyment for everyone. The Quiver and the Herold provides a record of the year,s happenings while Projectionists and librarians improve K.. 8 the techniques used in the classrooms. Outside the clubs many other activi- ties occur through the year. Last year saw visits by Bob jones, President of Bob jones University, Dr. Martin Luther King Sr., the rock group, Dust, and an assembly from the Atomic Energy Commission. Besides these examples, each year finds fine con- certs from the Harding music depart- ment, displays of fine sportsmanship from the athletic department and three dramatic productions. All of this, and more, give Harding students needed relief from classroom monotony. f
