N 7-N-.-2.1 1 J - ' T' ,asv of Harding 91 'P,,.f-+:.gg,,....' l if . XA Seated: Mrs. Ellen Knachel, Mrs. Louise Merchant, Mrs. Maxine Wil- liams, Mrs. Nadine Blow, Mrs. Louise Short. Standing: Mrs. Betty Strickland, Mrs. Mildred Altenberger, Mrs. Evelyn Freeman, Mrs. Ruth Simmons, Mrs. Mildred Mohr, Mrs. Elizabeth Penry, Mrs. Doris War- ren. Satan didn't find any mischief for idle hands to do in our lunch room or cor- ridors, for the usual efficiencies and kind- nesses were evident all year long. How- ever, a creed for cooks, and a tribute to custodians was uncovered in the lunch room area one day and Mrs. Betty Strick- land modestly gave permission for the Quiver to print in part. The health of all students is in my care, therefore, I will preserve as far as possible nutritive elements. My customer's enjoyment of foods is mine, therefore, I will preserve and enhance the attractive qualities of the foods with which I work. Stretch- ing the food dollar is part of my re- sponsibility too. A well prepared dish and an appetizing meal are creative If achievement, so I shall derive happiness from work itself. The greatest success in life is won by , those who began by making the most of - f ' in Q ,if ' opportunities around them. With our custodians it is the old story of the faith- ful steward, the performance of duties - J l at their best no matter the time or place .a . of assignment. By the cultivation of ev- ery talent possessed, they improve them- selves while doing the assigned and un- assigned for those they serve so faith- fully. Anthony Caprino, Ralph Ross, Elmer Hinkle. Herman Powelson, Harold Peak, Andrew Geyer.

co- perciting . . . Harding is people who are co-operat- ing in the multiple organizations of our school. The teachers, our advisers, are a most important part of these people, for under their careful guidance members have an opportunity to enrich their knowledge and strengthen their char- acters. Glimpses of the future may be sought in many organizations in which people are co-operating to become ac- quainted with future vocations. The Fu- ture Nurses, Teachers, and Engineers hear the challenges of these professions first-hand. The Shoshonean secretaries, the D.E.C.A. retailers, the V.I.C. in- dustrialists, and the J.A. businessmen practice today for the future tomorrows. Through cd-operation a paradise of har- mony exists for the musically inclined in the Choirs, Concert Band, Orchestra, Stardusters, and various ensembles. The fine arts materialize in the work of the members of the Art Club as they explore many different mediums. Drama reaches increasing heights with every play the Props and Q's create. Our intellectuals are led into whole new realms of thought by co-operating speakers in the Joe Berg Seminar. The Tri-Hi-Yis and Hi-Y's to- gether and separately undertake many service projects in our community. We, the students, through co-operation turn the key for successful tomorrows.
