Although the smooth running of a high school is Her- culean, the men and women directing the affairs of Harding are equal to their assignments. The man on whose shoulders falls most of the re- sponsibility is Mr. Darl Gatchell, Principal. Aiding him in his time-consuming post is Mr. Marion Shank, As- sistant Principal and Dean of Boys. Mr. Shank's com- plex schedule is lessened this year by the addition of a separate office labeled Boys' Counselor. Capably fil- ling this important area is Mr. Donald Geis. In the other half of the Guidance Department, Miss Helen May lends a helping hand to girls and to all seniors seeking beyond-Harding education. Acting as Sec- retary of the Treasury is Mr. James Smith, and keeping the whole educational picture faithfully in focus are Miss Elizabeth Pace, Miss Marilyn Davis, and Mrs. Clifford Rowley.
