learning Harding is people. We, the students of Marion Harding High School are the ma- jority of these people, and our job as stu- dents is to learn. Classes begin the learn- ing process. Test tubes and microscopes, typewriters and adding machines, accel- erators and levers enrich our scientific background through experimentation. Living languages materialize in French and Spanish through class and club work. Problems of our world, yesterday and today, are discussed and analyzed in his- tory and social science classes. Enthusi- astic exciternent of a twice a week phys- ical education class stimulates our phys- ical growth. Whether it be in English, math, art, or any of the many subjects offered us, the teachers of Harding are our guides to learning. Daily they lead us into new realms of thinking. Harding is people learning through classes, diligent study, and effective guidance. The Board of Education and the school administra- tion are the backbone of Marion Hard- ing High School, as it seeks to enable us to acquire knowledge. Harding was ded- icated for the fitness of mind and body of all our youth. Let us accept this chal- lenge and begin by learning. 12

f ' i, I A 1 , 1 :, its t 3 . thi - vu ' i Yi appreciating . . . the faithful service of our retiring teachers ,I We honor three of our retired teach- ers, Miss Pansy Rauhauser who retired at the completion of the school year 1957-1958, and Miss Isabel Freer and Miss Margaret Wollley who retired at the end of the school year 1959-1960. All three teachers gave many years of valuable and devoted service to Harding High, each in her own field of work. Miss Rauhauser inspired many students by her zestful teaching of American his- tory. Miss Freer aroused the interest of students in Latin legends and in the beauty of the French language. Miss Wollley made students more fully aware of the greatness of English literature in both prose and poetry. Thus each teach- er, in a different field and in a different way, gave a part of herself to Harding High School.
