Our tellow classmen at Edison chose Jim Willis, l-lenry Field, Diclc Freese, and l-larold lams to guide them. All together we chose our class symbols, going patriotic with the red rose as our class flower and navy and white as our colors. Our junior mentors were Jim Riley, president: Gene Frederick, vice-president: Jo Ann Kerns, secretary: and Jerry Richie, treasurer. lt was a tine job they did, too, lead- ing us along the way ot a very successful year. During this year we toolc prominent positions in club activities and became Flard- ing mainstays in the tield ot sports. We had a wondertul time presenting Ever Since Eve and we teel it was really a credit to the class ot '47, It was in this year we gath' ered together in cooperated ettort toward the time when we'd be seniors. Right in step all the way, were the juniors ot the Blue and Gold led by Jim Willis, Mario Nolti, Diclc McWilliams, and Glen Massie. So at last the day arrived when we were all united together. Edison juniors and l-larding juniors had become one big gang as seniors-the class ot '47, The year, crammed tull ot tun and activities has dashed by and we can hardly realize it. Where's the time gone and what's happened? Well, way baclc in September we chose able Gene Frederick as our class president with Jim Ainey, Alan Cleveland, and Doug Duer as his teammates in our last year. Mario Nolti had a big job as Prexy football captain and Student Council president- he made us proud. The l-lerald every-Tuesday morning was the job ot Pat Dearing and Anne Baldwin, the editors. All of us helped out-senior committees did a good job, malcing it possible to graduate in great style. Wings ot the Morning talces a big place in our history. Our senior play was new, it was ditterent and it was good. The class ot I947 has tinished up in great style-all the time with our motto ahead ot us, Be the Best ot Whatever You Are! May it always be so. 1
