Youth of Spirit E. E. HOLT, Superintendent For his wisdom and his indispens- able advice to us, we look to Mr. May, our principal, for he understands our spirit of youth. Our faith has been with him while he has shouldered the responsibility of education in a period of world crises. His remarkable abilities in organi- zation have been valuable to our school in many phases of school life. Not only his organization but his effi- ciency in executing his program has won our admiration. lvlr. May has guided us through a busy year and with his ceaseless ef- forts we feel that it has been a suc- cessful one. Our sincerest gratitude goes to Mr. Miy, and our wish is that he may achieve as much in all of his under- takings, Here we express our appreciation to Mr, E. E. Holt, who, as superin- tendent of the public schools of Marion, has held our standards high. ln this responsibility he has kept well abreast of a changing world and has been progressive in assuring the people of Marion that their children will have adequate facilities for learn- ing, His unusual foresight in this not only accelerates all our undertakings but establishes a precedent for future days. Mr. Holt may well be a living ex- ample of our graduating class motto, Be the Best of Whatever You Are, and in him, we visualize the real spirit of youth through his constant effort and his sincere understanding. fgsril igmdsihfvolii' A. C. MAY, Principal 4 7
