tithy hasson mythical state and the real world hold summer excitement broadening the scope ot understanding between the people ot ditterent countries was the object ot american tield service summer exchange student brian mitchell. brian spent two exciting months in austria with his exchange tamily getting to know the people and the country. another exchange student representing her native country, chile, was tithy hasson-russo. tithy brought her way ot lite to oklahoma and exchanged ideas with her new tamily and triends. anticipating a summer abroad, summer ex- change student semi-tinalists, nancy nesbitt and bob yinger were busy with applications and interviews in preparation as possible representatives ot the united states in, an- other country. another summer activity participated in by harding students were the boys' state and girls' state program. iett beeler and john chain spent a week at central state college learning how to be ettective citizens through actual participation. nancy virtue participated in the same kind ot program at oklahoma college ot tiberal arts.
