The Spartans scored in every quarter and allowed the Eagles to get close only once. Southeast dominated the first half as the Eagles never put on a sustained drive. Running off spread, single-wing, and T formations the Spartans kept Eagle defense-men fooled with their wide-open. brand of play. Southeast led at the end of the half 14-O. It looked as if the Spartans would score again late in the third quarter when substitute rightrhalf Bruce Holmes grabbed a South- east fumble in the air and sped 70 yards to the Spartan six. John Neaves hit for three, Holmes for one, and Ierry Lehman took the pitchout around right end for the touchdown. Charles Mugg kept for the conversion.
