History of The Eleventh Grade September, 1935, marked the beginning of a new center of activity in our city. It was the opening of Harding High School. Many of the pos- sibilities which are always present in a new organization have been materalized by members of the eleventh grade, who have co-operated with faculty and fellow students in promoting the various activities of the school and community. Much time and effort have been spent in preparing chapel programs, musicals, and other programs for the enjoyment and benefit of the student body. In these activities a great deal of talent has been exhibited among the eleventh grade students. The responsibility of organizing such clubs as the dramatic club, and the Honor Society has been placed in the com- petent hands of the seniors. They, too, sponsored the anti-noise campaign and the Courtesy program, which, was a great benefit to our school. The establishment of our fine school paper has at least partially been due to the effort of members of the Senior Class. . All work is far from being the senior's ideal of a complete school life. Among'the entertainments, have been a Wiener roast, scavenger hunt, candy pulling, a banquet, and parties on many special occasions. The activities of this year will never be forgotten, but there is always hope that the following year will bring forth more pleasure and greater achievement. Page Ten
