THE SEARCH . . . before discovering the key to life, man must first search himself . . . to discover his sttengths, his weaknesses, his desires, his capabilities . . . he must realize the imperfection of every man, yet strive to improve his own . . . he longs for a deeper fulfillment than a current fad or passing movement. . . he must discover why he exists and where he is heading . . . constantly he searches for companionship, for freedom, for truth, and for peace, but in a personal sense . . . only after attempting to correct his own problems and answer his own questions, can he launch into the ills of his society. Man's search is primarily within, but affected by influences without . . . namely his environment . . . in this case a private, liberal arts college in a smali community of 9,000 in centrai, rural Arkansas . . . labeled by some as overly conservative and protective, but not absent of the support found in a growing student body . . . for here mun finds a Christian environment in the form of Harding Collage . . . an envirOnrnent intended to direct his search toward God.
