There is no tribute great enough to mark our appreciation for the contributions you have made toward improving life on our campus. Having grown up and been educated at Abi- lene. Texas . . . and having mastered the round. pear- shaped tones of the professional radio man during four years with a Lubbock, Texas. radio station . . . Jim Atkinson left the plains of West Texas to become Field Representative for Harding College. Because of his ability and perseverance, he was soon pro- moted to Director of the Personnel Office and next to Dean of Students. His work requires many hours and much 'imidnight oil', which he gives unself- ishly. A master of verbal brilliance, Dean Atkinson will not only be remembered for his fairness as an administrator but also for his mercurial mind . . . his nimble tongue . . . the rapier thrust of his verbal retorts and puns . . . and his jocular personality: Q L ' Q, Oafr,.isLfC fn -s f ' 7 UT LV ,A.g,g,M-,x fofs,f.,e,z, 14:11 vi-fvvhvffj V I .
