CHOPPIE The president of the Class of 27 began his college career in Harper College. It was there that he wore off his Freshman greenness. received the name Choppiei' vauired an appreciation of the superior individual instruction and personal interest of teachers in schools of this type. He became attached to a number of young people whose friendship has meant and will mean much to him as he goes through life. He has always taken a great interest in athletics. Besides being on the basketball and base- ball teams, he is one of the most Iwof'icient tennis piayers in Harding, and represented the college in the state tennis tournaments at Little Rock.
