Boosters Provide Fall Fun This year the Booster's car- nival was held on October 17, 1981. School Classes and clubs held booths selling foods, gift items or crafts. Several organiza- tions sponsored various rides. This year the carnival provided fun for all who attended. 1 all 3 20 Carnival

THE GREAT PUTATG ,R CE On Ianuary 7, 1982 Harding Academy experienced a most unusual kind of race. It was named the great potato race because the object was to race in a potato sack to a table and eat a baked potato or Spuddle as they are more commonly called. There were three representa- tive teams that participated: the football team, the soccer team, and the basketball team. Three guys from each team raced in the relay. The newspaper and television media showed up to get the full story. All the guys involved had lots of fun, but the basketball team came out victorious. The real race came after this. Three faculty members, Mr. Cox, Mr. Phillips, and Mr. Riley, challenged the winning team to one last race. Unfortunately the basketball team lucked out and the faculty won.
